SUMMARY:Canton Zug Locational Development: Incentive Measures
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an insightful presentation on the Canton Zug Incentive Measures at the upcoming event with the Zug Commodity Association and Ernst & Young. The Canton of Zug has published a draft legislation on 16 May 2024\, which focuses on subsidies in the areas of “sustainability” and “innovation” and defines three incentive areas. The consultation on this draft legislation has now been completed and the Cantonal Council will further debate this at the end of November. The political background of these regulations will be explored under consideration of the current political and European situation. This event will discuss the different incentive areas\, with a specific focus on the incentives published to promote sustainability and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In 1984 she became the head of the European operations of Phibro Energy till 1991. In 1991 she became the head of the Petrochemicals dept of Phibro Salomon which later became Citigroup. In 1997 Ruth established Kolmar Petrochemicals who became Kolmar Group in 2007\, where she has been acting as CEO and Chairwoman of the Board to-date. \n\nGloria Frauenfelder\nFinance/Tax – Hershey Trading\nGloria has accountability for Tax planning for the Hershey Trading. Prior to joining Hershey\, Gloria worked for Kraft/Mondelez in their procurement office in Zug\, Switzerland for more than 10 years. Gloria led the global management and reporting of derivatives/compliance to drive profitable growth and leading strategic planning. Gloria holds a finance and administration degree and a Chartered Accounting/Controlling (CPA). \n\nSimon Taylor\nGroup Head of HR – Ameropa AZ\nSimon takes the lead on all Group-wide strategic HR and organisational development initiatives\, including Employee Engagement\, D&I\, Talent\, Leadership and Culture development. Simon graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2006 with a first-class Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. Over the course of his career\, Simon has held a variety of roles in different HR disciplines and industries\, including healthcare\, IT consulting & services\, maritime shipping and now\, Agri-commodities. Simon moved from the UK to Switzerland in 2015. \n\nMerlene Joyce Ottey\nJamaican-Slovenian former track and field sprinter\, a nine-time Olympic medallist\nMerlene began her career representing Jamaica in 1978\, and continued to do so for 24 years\, before representing Slovenia from 2002 to 2012. Ottey had the longest career as a top-level international sprinter appearing at the 1979 Pan American Games as a 19-year-old fresh from U-20 and Junior competitions and concluding her career at age 52 when she anchored the Slovene 4 × 100 m relay team at the 2012 European Championships. She is the current world indoor record holder for 200 metres with 21.87 seconds\, set in 1993. Since 2014\, Merlene Ottey has lived in Switzerland\, Zug. \n\nAndrea Stocker-Sohst\nPartner – Indirect Tax Services – EY\nAndrea is a Tax Partner and leads the Indirect Tax practice in Central Switzerland. She has more than 22 years of professional experience in advising Swiss and multinational companies in national and international Indirect Tax matters. She has in-depth experience in the review\, design and implementation of VAT and Customs implications of complex supply chain and procurement structures.
