SUMMARY:ZCA Sanctions & Compliance - HFW seminar
DESCRIPTION:Sarah Hunt and Sara Abhari from HFW will deliver an afternoon training on: \nSanctions & Compliance \nDate: 11 November\, lunch followed by seminar from 13.30 – 17.30 \nTiming: the event will start with lunch at 12.30 and finish with drinks at 18.30 \nUK\, EU\, Swiss and US sanctions issues often arise in trading and shipping. \nWhat issues do compliance officers in banks and traders need to be aware of? \nThis training session will explain the principles that apply when dealing with sanctioned entities and vessels. \nIt will include an overview of current sanctions applicable to trading and shipping in Switzerland\, with an explanation of the impact of UK\, EU and US sanctions on Swiss traders. \nWe will cover metals\, softs/agri\, LNG and petroleum products/petrochemicals with a focus on Swiss/EU sanctions. \nWe will consider relevant tools and red flags\, using system reports and including case studies. \nWe will examine sanctions in the context of insurance coverage and trade finance. \nFinally\, we will provide an update and overview of recent caselaw in the Commercial Court. \nParticipation: Please register and purchase the ticket: CHF 200 for ZCA member\, CHF 250 for non-member.
